Through the project “Increasing employment of Kosovo youth”, Advancing Kosovo Together – an USAID program in Kosovo – aims alleviating of youth unemployment in Kosovo, focusing in developing entrepreneurial skills which would create conditions for self-employment of Kosovo youth.

The project, which is implemented by MDA Foundation, aims to provide capacity-building of young entrepreneurs through different trainings in entrepreneurship and ensuring investments for the success of business idea.

Kosovo youngsters that have business ideas can refer to www.mda-foundation.org and apply with their ideas. A selection commission will evaluate the ideas and if they meet criteria set by this program, they will be invited to be part of this project. The selected ideas will have opportunity to be part of MDA Foundation’s business incubator for three months to develop their business.

This is a comprehensive combination of training and individual learning on business. The development of this project is done in that way to help young entrepreneurs to develop their entrepreneurial skills and attack investments. This program will be available for 48 youngsters, 18-30 years old, from Albanian and Serbian community from 12 targeted municipalities. From each municipality 4 participants will be selected and during this process will be applied the principle of gender equality (2 men and 2 women). In terms of their ethnic background, 24 participants will be Albanian and 24 others Serbian. The project activities will be developed in premises of MDA Foundation in Pristina.

Expect this, two best business ideas will benefit from a grant in the amount of 1,000 euro as a financial support. On the other hand, up to 5 participants will benefit paid internship for two months in MDA Foundation, in MDA or in another private company in MDA’s network.

The program is opened to youngsters of age 18-30 from the municipalities of Gracanica, Kllokot, Novobrdo, Partes, Ranillug, Strpce, Gjilan, Istog, Klina, Obiliq, Peja and Vushtrri. Deadline for submission is 31 May 2015.
