It’s hard to believe that 2015 has flown by already and here I am writing to you all to wish you a happy holiday season. With the year drawing to a close and before we go on our holiday break, it seems like an ideal time to reflect on the year and look forward to what’s coming in 2016.This year has been difficult for the private sector in Kosovo, including the consulting industry. The government gridlock and the sluggish economic growth have deeply affected the business environment. If we want to summarize the year in a couple of words, then this is it: A year with significant challenges, where we have shown great resilience despite the gloom and doom of the broader economy. While there is much work to be done and there may be further challenges ahead, we end 2015 stronger and better able to serve our clients.

First, I want to thank all of our great clients, ones that we have continued relationships with from previous years, and those we have developed new partnerships with in 2015. Your support helps us succeed at what we do every day. We look forward to working with you all and building strong relationships in the new year.

I would like to mention the following projects that we have successfully implemented in 2015.

  • EU Information and Cultural Centre (EUICC) – MDA implemented this project for three years in a row and organized hundreds of various activities in Pristina and North Mitrovica in cooperation with EU Office, Member State embassies and other stakeholders, responded to lot of quires from visitors on EU related issues, and hosted thousands of events
  • Support to Labour Inspectorate (SLI) – MDA is the first national company to lead an international consortium for an IPA project financed by EU. In this project MDA has supported the harmonization of Kosovo legislation with EU Asquis, drafting of legal acts and sub-acts, identification of needs and design of model of information system for Labour Inspectorate
  • All Equal (ALLE) – MDA has organized 15 module of trainings and over 300 people with disabilities were trained and prepared for labour market, 50 of them were certified, while a campaign was organized to raise awareness of the society for their employment needs

The above mentioned projects are only a few of the projects implemented by MDA this year, while our MDA team has successfully managed to implement many others project for our clients such as Ministry of Diaspora on registration of diaspora, Ministry of European Integration on the awareness campaign on visa liberalization project, Ministry of Economic Development on renewable energy and energy efficiency campaign etc. MDA has also worked with many projects with private companies, in particular in the industry of banking, telecom and the wholesale and retail trade.

Next, I want to thank our MDA team for all of their hard work. The passion that you bring to work each day keeps us on the right path. Your commitment helps us continue to make a real impact on our clients and community. Keep up the good work, and continue to work every day keeping our core values in mind like you always have been, as we move into the new year!

In this year, we have continued our tradition of giving back to the community. As part of our CSR, through MDA Foundation, we have helped three organizations: Down Syndrome Kosova, SOS Children’s Village, and the University of Pristina. We have organized more than 20 events for children with down syndrome and for children without parental care. In addition, we have carried our more than 10 voluntary trainings to UP students in a range of business topics. By serving these groups we have showed our continuing commitment to contribute in building a better society.

Without the trust of those around us, we wouldn’t be able to continue doing what we love every day. In 2016, we hope to continue growing our team and providing our clients with the service and support they have come to expect over the last fourteen years.

I, along with the entire MDA team, would like to thank everyone for your continued support and confidence in us. We wish you all a great 2016!
